House Paint Interior

Interior painting is the simplest idea to spruce up the look of your house. Actually, colours on a wall give you a basic platform for the décor of your house. If interior painting is done in organized manner with well-informed and well researched choices of colours and textures, you can get most brilliant results. Here we give you some most important steps to be considered while planning interior painting.

Be organized

Before picking up any brush and paint, you just need to plan in advance what you want to achieve. You can browse through interior décor magazines and follow your tastes and intuitions.

Gather the tools

Appropriate tools are very important for doing a perfect interior painting job. You will need painting rollers of different sizes, trim brushes, regular brushes, painter tape, and plastic drop clothes. To fill any holes in the walls you will need joint compound and the flat spackle knife.

Prepare the Walls

Wall preparation before painting commencement is very important. It will give the right look and right finish to the painting job. If you are painting on freshly built wall, you need to apply a primer. Dry walls absorb the paint quickly and in large amount. Primer provides a base coat for applying the interior house paint. Besides giving smoother finish, it also costs less. Primer can have tint or white colour.

  1. Some of the basic tips are as follows for paint interior becoz i had also do like that when my home was painted, They are:-
    * Keep plenty of rags and clean water about for minor or major mishaps.
    * Don't kill yourself on the first couple days. Plan accordingly and maintain a steady pace to keep from getting burnt out. Painting a room is a race, painting a house is a marathon.
    * When painting a carpeted room, keep in mind that paint will soak through drop cloths. This is especially true of the cheaper, lightweight cloths. It helps to tape masking paper to all of the base boards before laying the drop cloths. Tuck the edges of the cloth under the paper--this will help keep it clean. You might want to invest in a hand-held masking machine--they make the job go much faster. Even after taking these precautions make sure to clean big drops or spills before they soak through and before you step on them!
    * Plastic bags with zipper tops can keep a brush or roller from getting dry, while you take a break for lunch. Or place your roller and brush in a zipper top bag in the refridgerator. It will stay wet indefinitely as long as you leave it in there.
    * Masking tape DOES NOT! replace proper "cutting-in". Excess paint build-up along masking tape, especially on horizontal surfaces will cause bleeding and a very undesirable finish. Masking can be used to catch mistakes but don't rely on it to give you a nice clean line every time.
Really nice tips and reliable too.
